Class Schedule - Fall 2006

Night Course: Mon. 6:15pm - 8:45pm
BC301 - Biblical Counseling Foundation (2 Credits)
This course is a beginning biblical approach to solving life’s problems. You will learn a beginning working knowledge for making Biblical plans to overcome sin in specific areas of your life and then help others for living a fruitful and victorious life as a Christian. You will be taught (a) self-confrontation to bring personal change, and (b) becoming better equipped to help others. Such topics as forgiveness, restoration, self, relationships, marriage, divorce, children, anger, bitterness, and life dominating sin will be covered.

Morning Courses: Mon. - Fri. 8am-12:30pm
NT377 - Revelation - 3 Credits (Thursdays, 8:30-11:25)
This course will be a verse-by-verse study through the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Emphasis will be on the sequence of prophetic events and the consummation of this age.

TH101 - Lectures in Ministry: Tue. 10:30 - 12:25 (1 Credit)
A series of lectures given on a weekly basis by the instructor sharing wisdom and insight into the work of the ministry.

TH387 - Cults & World Religions: Tue. 8:30 - 10:25 (2 Credits)
An overview of the major cults and religions of this age. Emphasis will be on how to respond to these different groups and how to guide them to the truth of Christ.

OT359 - Minor Prophets: Fri. 8:30 - 10:25 (2 Credits)
This course is a verse-by-verse study through the twelve Books of the Old Testament known as the Minor Prophets, Hosea through Malachi. Emphasis will be given to the historical setting of each author and the message conveyed in his writing, particularly the eschatological and Christological aspects of that message.

NT357 - I & II Corinthians: Fri. 10:30 - 12:30 (3 Credits)
This course is a verse-by-verse study through the Books of I & II Corinthians. Special emphasis will be on the problems Paul addressed to the church in Corinth, and how these same problems still exist in the church today.

OT310 - Genesis: Mon. 8:30 - 11:30 (3 Credits)
This course is a verse-by-verse study through the Book of Genesis. Special consideration will be given to the fundamental principals in the book, including creation of the universe, introduction of sin and the formation of Israel.

Old & New Testament Survey: Thu. 11:30 - 12:30 (3 Credits)
This course is a verse-by-verse study of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. It is an audio course in MP3 format taught by Chuck Smith. This survey of the Bible is taken in four parts/semesters totaling 12 credits.

CL105 - Community Worship: Sun. 8:30 - 12:00 (0.5 Credit)
Each Wednesday or Sunday throughout the semester, the student body gathers together for a time of worship, teaching, communion and service to the body. This will allow the students to find where they fit into the church body.

CL101 - Morning Chapel/ Devotions: Mon. - Fri. 8:30 - 11:25 (1 Credit)
In addition to personal devotions, the entire student body meets daily throughout the week for corporate devotions. This time allows each student the voluntary opportunity to minister the Word to his or her peers with learning the spiritual graces of prayer, worship, meditation (reading the Bible), and developing public speaking abilities.

CM199 - Practical Christian Ministry: Wed. 8:30-12:00 (2 Credits)
This course is required for all students. Students will provide support to the Bible College, church, school, audio-visual, campus cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, and local community service and out reach. Each second-year student will have the opportunity to choose, plan and lead a Practical Ministry day of their choice. This will develop organization and leadership skills.
